The meeting provided the opportunity to review and finalize the preparations for the World Gas Conference that will be held in Washington D.C. between 25-29 June 2018.

As of this week, we are delighted to release the names of approximately 500+ Industry Insights and Technical & Innovation Center speakers who have been carefully selected by the IGU Committees. These expert speakers represent the best of what our industry has to offer, addressing the most current and business critical issues facing the industry. The IGU was honoured by the presence of H.E. TAREK EL MOLLA, Minister of Petroleum and Minerals and Dr. Rania Al Mashat, Minister of Tourism. Both warmly welcomed and thanked the IGU for selecting Cairo as the venue for the Executive Committee meeting.
Minister Molla, remarked on the development of four major gas projects in production in one year, namely the fields of Afr, Atul, Noras and West Nile Delta (northern Alexandria) with a joint production of about 1.6 billion cubic feet of gas per day. This will lead Egypt to achieve gas self-sufficiency by the end of 2018.
“The developments in the East Mediterranian offer exciting opportunities for the region to fuel local economies, improve the quality of life, and be a catalyst for regional stability”, said David Carroll, President of the IGU.
