2023 IGU Global Wholesale Price Survey Report Media Briefing

2022 saw global price levels breaking record highs, both at the average wholesale levels and in the spot markets.

On September 21, 2023, the International Gas Union will release the flagship annual Global Wholesale Gas Price Survey report. This is a virtual press briefing where we will present the key findings of the report and senior international gas market experts will comment on the key trends in the global gas markets evolution.

The IGU is producing the Wholesale Gas Price Survey report since 2005. It is a unique analysis of the evolution of gas markets, changes in gas price mechanisms and price levels. The 2023 Edition includes data from 85 gas markets, covering 91% of total world natural gas consumption. It is produced by the IGU Strategy Committee and Michael Fulwood of the Oxford Institute of Energy Studies.
