Energising the world requires a delicate balance between energy demand, supply and sustainability as Europe is faced with significant uncertainties in terms of Russian gas supplies via Ukraine and the long list of uncertainties impacting the US natural gas and LNG markets is getting longer. On a positive note, Guyana’s gas sector is booming, and India’s gas demand is set to triple while, after almost four years of glut, New Zealand lays the groundwork for new oil and gas exploration and production to help the country’s growing energy demand.
We are delighted to present you with the 17th issue of our outstanding Global Voice of Gas magazine produced in collaboration with Minoils Media, a very special edition for all of us at IGU: you will have the opportunity to read the latest updates from our Regional Coordinators, learn what an innovative Belgian company is doing with its gas turbines, understand what three years as the President of the IGU meant for Madam Li Yalan and, most of all, ponder over a very special note from our newly appointed Secretary General, Menelaos Ydreos (known to many of us as “Mel”).
Let us know your thoughts on any of the articles in this edition and, if you have any new technological or innovation concepts to share with our members and over 35,000 subscribers, or if you wish to place any adverts, please get in touch with our editor, Dale Lunan, at dale.lunan@naturalgasworld.
