The Global State of the Methane Regulation Special Report calls for greater international alignment and mutual recognition to strengthen methane abatement without duplicating compliance requirements. As methane performance increasingly shapes market access, contracts and investment, the Report advocates compatible regulatory systems, credible emissions data, clear compliance methodologies and practical transition arrangements to support emissions reductions and reliable Gas supplies.
