Diplomatic Reception for Gas for Africa | London 2025
The International Gas Union (IGU) and Hawilti, supported by Africa Finance Corporation, have released the second edition (2025) of Gas for Africa Report (you can download it here: https://www.igu.org/igu-reports/gas-for-africa-report-2025!
Gas-to-power accounts for a disproportionately large share of natural gas use in Africa, reflecting a missed opportunity to harness natural gas more extensively across the continent’s economies. If left unaddressed, Africa risks falling behind in an increasingly competitive global natural gas market.
