With the delivery of 35 vessels in 2020, the global LNG carrier fleet consisted of 572 active vessels1 at the end of last year, including 37 floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs) and four floating storage units (FSUs). This represents a 7% growth from 2019, which can be compared to a 1% growth in number of LNG voyages, a figure that was lower than expected, largely due to COVID-19 demand disruption.
