The most working Gas volume (WGV) is developed in natural gas fields representing 74% (314 bcm), but these cover only 57% of the total potential withdrawal rate (PWR), followed by saline aquifers 11% (47 bcm). Salt caverns have a 9% (40 bcm) share per WGV, but as high as 27% of PWR, clearly illustrating the high deliverability provided by salt caverns.
